Community Guidelines

The Cambridge Women's Center is open to all who identify as women.

Anyone who uses the Women's Center is a member of our community. We hope you enjoy and respect this space and the resources we can offer

Ask a volunteer if you need support or assistance. We are happy to help!

We ask that all members of the Women's Center do your best to support one another and embrace our differences. This includes adhering to the following guidelines:

  • Sign in when you enter the Women's Center. (This helps us show funders how many people use the Center).
  • To make sure everyone feels comfortable here, the center is a fragrance-free zone, and drugs, alcohol or tobacco products are not permitted. Tobacco products may only be used outside in the backyard, away from the door (all waste must be properly disposed of).
  • When attending a group, please respect other members by arriving on-time, allowing everyone equal time to speak, and keeping everything that is said confidential.
  • The Center is a community space. Please help keep the space clean and tidy for everyone to use.
  • Please treat all members, volunteers, and staff with kindness.
  • Be mindful of the volume of your voice so that others can enjoy this shared space.
  • Verbal or physical violence will not be tolerated.

A member in violation of the community guidelines may be told to leave the premises by staff or volunteers – either for the day or for an extended period of time.

The Cambridge Women's Center accepts, celebrates and supports all women, regardless of age, race, religion, ability, sexual orientation, nationality, citizenship status, housing status, socioeconomic status, appearance or mental health status.

Thank you for your presence, warmth, and help in upholding these values.
