Calendar

The Women’s Center is open Monday-Friday 10am-8pm and Saturday 10am-3pm for drop-in and use of the two Computer Labs.

All groups and events at the Women’s Center are free and are open to all who identify as women. Childcare is available if requested a few days in advance.

Join the trauma group and local poet and professor Jennifer Jean for this three-week poetry workshop series. These sessions are open to all women who have experienced trauma. Participants will learn concrete writing skills and have a chance to explore different techniques and subjects. The series will culminate in a collection of poetry that will be shared with all participants. Pre-registration is requested, but not required. Trauma Support/Discussion Group. Thursdays, usually 6:30-7:30pm. Weekly. An intimate group where women share and get support for all forms of trauma, past and present. This month on October 12, 19 & 26, we will hold Poetry for Trauma Survivors workshops (see below) from 6-7pm & the trauma support/discussion group from 7-8pm. Join the trauma group and local poet and professor Jennifer Jean for this three-week poetry workshop series. These sessions are open to all women who have experienced trauma. Participants will learn concrete writing skills and have a chance to explore different techniques and subjects. The series will culminate in a collection of poetry that will be shared with all participants. Pre-registration is requested, but not required.
